About Drum Heater

GMP-GC-42 Drum Heater

Construction: This Industrial drum heater (for MS DRUM ,vertical model) has a well type, triple walled construction. The Innermost chamber is made of MS perforated Sheet with a heat resistive silver paint finish, the middle chamber MS has an insulated compartment and the outer chamber is also made of MS with a powder coat finish. The unit has an electrical heating system, suitable for heating 200ltrs standard size drum. The drum heater is made into 2 semicircular halves, which are joined at one end by heavy duty hinges & clamps at the other end by a special press fit adjustable lock, with the control panel on one half with  heater,& heater + connector junction box on the other half in the innermost compartment. The outermost compartment is filled-up with high density glass wool insulation of 65mm to have skin temperature of Drum less than 45*C. SS U finned type heaters of suitable capacity clamped with inner surface with HOT + COLD Zone junction(with lead-wire taken out of Drum at base with safety cover for ease of checking/servicing) is used as the heating element for uniform distribution of heat. The maximum achievable temp. is 150C. An Imported Capillary type Thermostat is provided for setting required SET temp to control with Contactor/Heavy duty Relay. Digital microprocessor PID temperature controller cum indicator with Fe-con Thermocouple sensor controls the heating process as Option. The unit is easily moveable on its castor wheels.
